Born in Canada, Sandra Forzani first began honing her skills as an artist at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary. She moved to Europe in the 1970's where she continued her studies with a focus on oil painting. Her travels eventually took Sandra through Asia, the Middle East, and the North and South American continents, a journey that was to reaffirm nature as her main source of artistic inspiration. Sandra returned to Canada, and after graduating in 1982 with a degree in Interior Design from Mount Royal College, she began an extensive period of painting and exhibiting.
Sandra's is best know for her large oil-on-canvas paintings of flowers and trees. With bold brush strokes, she reveals the beauty of nature, often with a close-up perspective that brings into focus the wonderful depth and range of color of our natural world. Her colorful, large scale paintings are ideally suited to throw pillows. Bold and versatile, her pillows can be found in a wide range of spaces, from rustic or traditional to retro and contemporary. Made from a durable yet wonderfully soft indoor-outdoor spun-polyester fabric, her pillows are vivid reproductions, true to the colors of her original paintings.
