Developed as a tourist destination in the early 1900's by the Union Steamship Company, Bowen Island quickly became one of Vancouver's premier getaways. Today, this picturesque 52sq km/20sq mi island is home to approximately 3,200 residents, and continues to welcome fun seeking vacationers. The design on this colorful indoor/outdoor throw pillow is taken from a 1930s Union Steamship travel brochure. The pillow is made from a soft, but durable indoor/outdoor fabric. The back of the pillow is a coordinating green striped pattern. From the Museum of Vancouver's Retail Collection. Designed and manufactured by Pillow Decor under license from the Museum of Vancouver.
