When we think of pillows for kids we often think of pillows that more closely resemble stuffed toys than decorative home accents. The reality is that kids love to decorate and given the chance, you'd be surprised by how 'adult-like' their decorating choices will be. It's no surprise -  you are their role model, and they are watching and listening more closely than you might think when you are making your own home décor decisions. 

Kids love getting presents, but when it comes to their own corner of the house, they will be even more delighted if you involve them in decorating their own space. You might not want to do this with the big ticket items like furniture or carpeting, but shopping for decorative accents like pillows is a great way of letting them make some independent decisions where they really can't go wrong. Let them browse online with you. Guide them gently without trying to steer them in one direction or another. Frequently they will gravitate to cute pillow designs often with animal themes, but they might surprise you too. Bold patterns, geometric prints, or bright colorful florals are often equally appealing. Letting your kids lead the way when it comes to choosing pillow designs might just reveal the keen eye of a budding artist or designer. Don't worry if their choices in colors, patterns or designs conflict with other elements in their room. That conflict exists in your mind not theirs. Let them discover what works for them...after all, it's only a pillow.
